Set your job search strategy ›
Are you really well connected and respected in your industry and so expect a phone call any minute offer a new job? Mostly people are not in this position and so need to decide how they are going to get an introduction to the hiring manager with their new role.
Making a decision on how you are going to make yourself more known and available to employers in your industry or companies of choice helps you organize your approach. Are you going to connect to people working in that industry or company by doing more off-line networking than online networking? Are there specific clubs online or offline where the people you need to meet hang-out? Is it possible to them them socially? Once you decide what strategy(s) to employ in your job search you can then plan based on that approach.
